This listing is for (1)Antique English Advertising Lidded Pot w/Base – James Atkinson’s Bears Grease – 24 Old Bond Street – London – Price 2/6. The lid to this pot has overall stained from burial – this base is lighter with overall crazing. Little fleabite along the base of the lid to the right of center. Displays well – rare find. Please consider the images as the best part of my description.
Most pots have some level of crazing, may have spots of discoloration, light hairline cracks and minor chips and fleabites that should be considered patina, additions to character and do not detract from its display value. These are expected due to age, use and let’s not forget they were often buried for decades before being dug up and rescued.
