This listing is for (1) Antique English Advertising Ironstone Victorian Scale Plate.  This shows a black transfer print of Fidelity and Justice, or Justitia et Fides as written on the ribbon held up by the two figures. The man is holding a balance scale and the woman holds a staff and has a lion at her feet. The plate would have been a part of an antique countertop balance scale.

This gorgeous round scale plate would make a great backdrop to your Antique Advertising Collection. It could also work very well as a cheese plate or other type of serving platter.

Most pots have some level of crazing, may have spots of discoloration, light hairline cracks and minor chips and fleabites that should be considered patina, additions to character and do not detract from its display value.  These are expected due to age, use and let’s not forget they were often buried for decades before being dug up and rescued.
