This is a listing for one (1) Rare Variety James Keiller 1# Marmalade Pot with a Rolled Top also containing Great Britain in the description. This wonderfully charming pot was handmade c.1895 with a “w” transferred in the upper portion of the bow just above the “Metal For” portion of the graphic. This Pot is in excellent condition with no chips or cracks. A faint hairline in the upper right side of the pot. Winner of the Grand Medal of Merit Vienna 1873. Each of these charming advertising pots vary slightly in shape and size which lends to the character and desirability.
Most pots contain crazing, varying spots of discoloration, minor hairline cracks and minor chips and fleabites that add to its character, and do not detract from its display value. These are expected blemishes due to age, use and being buried for decades before being dug up and rescued.
