This is a listing for ONE (1) Very scarce Antique Broody Bantam Egg.  (A bantam is any small variety of fowl, usually of chicken or duck. Most large chicken breeds have a bantam counterpart, which is much smaller than the standard-sized fowl, but otherwise similar in most or all respects. A true bantam chicken is naturally small and has no large counterpart. Wikipedia)

I will select one of these extremely rare ancient ironstone eggs from my current inventory.   As you can see,  some are more stained and crazed than others as it depends on what the egg was buried near for more than 100 years.   Most every egg has a visible hole which varies from egg to egg and was part of the process of making these rare eggs.     Dated from the late 1800’s, used to encourage fowl to produce more eggs.  You will receive one (1) of the eggs pictured from my remaining inventory.  Each egg has its own charming characteristics, minor sizing differences, little cracks,  spots of discoloration, chips and crazing should be expected on these ancient pieces.

These eggs have obvious signs of age, crazing, chips and discoloration.  These quirks are what make them so special and Collectable.  If you have a preference (more age related marks, darker etc…) please let me know in the comments at checkout.  I will do my best!

If multiple items are purchased I will combine into one package and credit any postage overage charged.  Enjoy!
