Offering this Wigtownshire Creamery Pure Fresh Cream pot with the Milkmaid Logo, Stranraer, Scotland, c. 1890’s. The Wigtownshire Creamery was a Scottish dairy that operated in Wigtownshire, a historic county in the southwest of Scotland, within the region of Dumfries and Galloway. Like many regional creameries in the late 19th and early 20th centuries, it would have played a crucial role in the local agricultural economy, processing milk from surrounding farms into cream, butter, and cheese.

This pot is in good condition with some transfer fade, a minor chip on the bottom, and one thin hairline crack on the backside near the top. Please view the images for the best description of this pot.

Measures: 4 1/2” tall x 2 3/4” at the widest point x 1 3/4” diameter at the base.

These authentic antique advertising pots were sourced during my recent buying trip to England. I have been sourcing these wonderful antique pots for over 12 years from sources who are actually digging them up in ancient rubbish sites all over England.

I purchased my first antique Advertising pot when my husband and I had the wonderful opportunity to live in England in the 1980’s. Our daughter was born there and we enjoyed living in England so much we often went back to visit after returning to the US.

On our many visits we have became friends with several of the “diggers” excavating the ancient dumpsites all over the UK and now source thousands of pots from them every year. I still love the charm they add to every room they are placed in.
