Measures approximately 5 1/4″ tall x 3 3/4″ diameter
This is a listing for one (1) James Keiller 2# Tall Thin Marmalade Pot c. 1873. You will receive this exact pot.
Each of these charming pots was handmade between 1860 and 1920 to store prize-winning Marmalade. This particular size is a very rare variety not usually found in the United States, curated from my travels to England’s Famed Antique Markets, while visiting my daughter and her family in London. This pot is in very good condition, with some small spots of discoloration.
These incredibly charming pots vary slightly in shape and size as each piece was handmade.
Pots usually contain crazing, spots of discoloration, hairline cracks and minor chips and fleabites that only add to its character and do not detract from its display value. These are expected due to age, and use, as they were often buried for decades and now are being dug up and rescued.
Perfect to store pens, flatware, paintbrushes, candles, cotton balls, or just to admire as one of a kind decor.
