This is a listing for one (1) James Keiller 2# Chubby Marmalade Pot c. 1875. You will receive the actual pot pictured which is in very good clean condition. It has a few faint hairlines as well as two small fleabites on the inside front, which are not seen when displayed. It is a very stable pot and has beautiful slight crazing.
Each of these charming pots were hand made between 1860 and 1920 to store prize winning Marmalade. Â This particular size is a very rare variety not usually found in the United States, curated from my travels to England’s Famed Antique Markets while visiting my daughter and her family in London.
Please refer to the pictures as they are the best description for this rare charming pot.
These incredibly charming pots vary slightly in shape and size as each piece was handmade.
Pots usually contain crazing, spots of discoloration, hairline cracks and minor chips and fleabites that only add to its character and do not detract from its display value. Â These are expected due to age, use as they were often buried for decades and now are being dug up and rescued.
Perfect to store plants, pens, flatware, paintbrushes, candles, cotton balls, or just to admire as one of a kind decor.
I offer substantial savings in shipping costs when multiple items are combined into one package. I will credit any overpayment of postage charged to you after finding the best shipping option.
