This beautiful heavy and chunky pot contained 1# of CAIRNS’ “THICK CUT” TONIC SEVILLE MARMALADE. Guaranteed Absolutely Pure, Prepared by ALEXANDER CAIRNS 7 SONS. Established 1848, PAISLEY, Scotland. This pot is in overall good condition with fantastic crazing, no cracks and one chip on the inside rima as pictured. Wonderful aged patina. Alexander Cairns & Sons. was established in 1848. They were acquired by Crosse and Blackwell in 1920.

Rare and beautiful with a one of a kind patina. Another amazing Antique English Advertising pot. This charming pot was the packaging used In the 1800’s before plastics. Made of white ironstone with its original clear black underglazed transfer.
This is an authentic antique advertising pot sourced during my recent buying trip to England. I have been sourcing these wonderful antique pots for over 12 years from sources who are actually digging them up in ancient rubbish sites all over England. I purchased my first antique Advertising pot when my husband and I had the wonderful opportunity to live in England in the 1980’s. Our daughter was born there and we enjoyed living in England so much we often went back to visit after returning to the US.
On our many visits we have became friends with many of the “diggers” excavating the ancient dumpsites all over the UK and now source thousands of pots from them every year. I still love the charm they add to every room they are placed in.
