Offering this miniature antique ointment from Yorkshire, England. Dr. Rooke’s Golden Ointment was introduced in 1839 by Dr. Charles Rooke. It was used for a variety of things like cuts and wounds, burns and soares, eczema and other skin diseases. It’s a beautiful miniature in great condition, crazing and staining throughout, makes it look very old. There are two flat chips on the top rim that are not noticeable.
Measures Approximately 1 3/4” diameter x 1 1/4” tall.

I have been sourcing these wonderful antique advertising pieces for over 12 years from sources who are actually digging them up in ancient rubbish sites all over England.
I purchased my first antique Advertising pot when my husband and I had the wonderful opportunity to live in England in the 1980’s. Our daughter was born there and we enjoyed living in England so much we often went back to visit after returning to the US.
On our many visits we have became friends with several of the “diggers” excavating the ancient dumpsites all over the UK and now source thousands of pots from them every year. I still love the charm they add to every room they are placed in.
Please study all images as they are the best representation of the actual item you will receive. These are scarce and getting harder and harder to source.
Returns are not excepted on these rare authentic pieces but please contact if you have any questions.
