Offering this Poulton & Noel Home Made Potted Meats, Belgravian Brand Shallow Dish – Antique English Advertising Pot, c. 1900.
Poulton & Noel were well-known makers of homemade potted meats in the 19th and early 20th centuries. The company operated in England during the Victorian and Edwardian periods, when potted meats were a popular preserved food. Potted meat consisted of cooked, seasoned, and preserved meat (such as beef, ham, or game) stored in small ceramic pots and sealed with clarified butter or lard. This method allowed meat to be kept for longer periods before refrigeration was widely available.
Poulton & Noel were well-regarded purveyors of these goods, supplying both everyday households and high-end grocers. Their ironstone pots were practical, reusable, and featured simple yet elegant branding, making them popular among collectors today.

Please consider the images as the best part of my description.
Most pots have some level of crazing, may have spots of discoloration, light hairline cracks and minor chips and fleabites that should be considered patina, additions to character and do not detract from its display value. Â These are expected due to age, they were often buried for decades before being dug up and rescued.
