This is a listing for one (1) James Keiller 1# Thin Marmalade Pot in Fair Condition (Grade B). Anticipate that there will be small chips, minor repairs, stable hairline cracks, spots of discoloration etc. These pots are becoming so rare with the length of the recent worldwide shutdowns that I have decided to have two categories of pots. Grade A (Good Condition) and Grade B (Fair Condition) This price point will be for a pot in fair condition.
Each pot was handmade between 1860 and 1960 to store award winning Marmalade. These wonderful advertising pots vary slightly in shape and size which lends to the character and desirability.
Most pots will most likely contain crazing , varying spots of discoloration, minor hairline cracks and minor chips and fleabites that only add to its character and authentic age. I believe these age related marks add to the overall character of these antique pots. These are expected blemishes due to age, use and being buried for decades before being dug up and rescued.
