This is a listing for one (1) Roger & Gallet, Creme de Savon, Shaving cream produced in Paris, France. A very early French Advertising Pot and lid with beautiful detailed transfer dates c. 1889. This rare pot features beautiful green transfer around the entire pot as well as the top of the lid. A darling and rare addition to your Antique Advertising Pot collection.
Both the printed lid and the fully printed Pot are in excellent condition with only a couple of flat chips on the interior base of the lid not seen when placed on base. A beautiful dark transfer and clean age related crazing. This piece displays beautifully. Please consider the images as the best part of my description.
Roger & Gallet, is a French company dating from 1862.
The other items in photos are for display only please use for ideas for displaying in your home.
This ancient pot was curated during my travels to England’s Famous Antique Markets while visiting my daughter and her family in London. Dates late 1800’s.
Most pots have some level of crazing, may have spots of discoloration, light hairline cracks and minor chips and fleabites that should be considered patina, additions to character and do not detract from its display value. These are expected due to age, use and let’s not forget they were often buried for decades before being dug up and rescued.
I offer substantial savings in shipping costs when multiple items are combined into one package. I will credit any overpayment of postage charged to you after finding the best shipping option.
