This listing is for (1) French Moutarde Dijon Grey-Poupon Small sized pot with great crazing and beautiful decorative transfers on both sides, and transferred Digoin & Sarreguemines crest on base. c. 1875. A favorite French pot of mine that I know will not disappoint. It is in very good condition with a great aged look with its overall coloring and great crazing. No chips or cracks.
This pot has very ornate labeling, which makes it one of my favorites. This is a small size:
Measures approximately:
3 3/4″ tall with a base diameter of 2 1/2’” and mouth opening of 1 1/2.”
Most pots have some level of crazing, may have spots of discoloration, light hairline cracks and minor chips and fleabites that should be considered patina, additions to character and do not detract from its display value. These are expected due to age, use and let’s not forget they were often buried for decades before being dug up and rescued.
