This is a listing for one (1) Otto of Rose Cold Cream, E. Castle Evans MPS, Westbourne Grove W. It has a very clear insignia on the bottom, TOOGOOD PATENT LONDON. “Otto of Rose” refers to a high-quality rose oil used in perfumes and skincare, which was popular in Victorian England.

The lid is in very good condition with some age related coloring, no chips and a hairline crack on the right side. The base, is in good condition with a significant amount of age related coloring, and no chips or cracks. Displays beautifully.

Measures: 1 3/4” tall x 2 3/4” diameter

Please consider the images as the best part of my description.

This ancient pot was curated during my travels to England’s Famous Antique Markets while visiting my daughter and her family in London. Dates late 1800’s to early 1900’s.

Most pots have some level of crazing, may have spots of discoloration, light hairline cracks and minor chips and fleabites that should be considered patina, additions to character and do not detract from its display value. These are expected due to age, use and let’s not forget they were often buried for decades before being dug up and rescued.
