This is a listing for one (1) Large Woods Areca Nut 1s (1 Shilling) Tooth Paste Lidded Pot with Base. For removing Tartar and whitening the teeth without injuring enamel. Proprietor W. Woods Chemist, Plymouth.
This is a beautiful lidded pot that displays extremely well. There are a couple chips on the upper and lower lip of the base that only adds to its character. What a great addition to your Antique English Advertising Pot collection.
The other items in photos are for display only and to give you ideas for displaying in your home.
This ancient pot was curated during my travels to England’s Famous Antique Markets while visiting my daughter and her family in London. Dates late 1800’s to early 1900’s.
Every pot have some level of crazing, may have spots of discoloration, light hairline cracks and minor chips and fleabites that should be considered patina, additions to character and do not detract from its display value. These are expected due to age, use and let’s not forget they were often buried for decades before being dug up and rescued.
