This listing is for a set of two (2) Antique English Stout Bottles,  one (1)  Antique Darcy’s XXX Invalid Stout Newcastle on Tyne and (1) stout with incised branding ……..

These both display well, great bar decor.

The history and development of stout and porter are intertwined.[4] The name “stout” as used for a dark beer is believed to have come about because strong porters were marketed under such names as “Extra Porter”, “Double Porter”, and “Stout Porter”. The term “Stout Porter” would later be shortened to just “Stout”. For example, Guinness Extra Stout was originally called Extra Superior Porter and was only given the name Extra Stout in 1840.[5]  Wikipedia

Other items are for display only,  ideas for displaying in your home.  This wonderfully charming pot is the perfect choice to enhance your advertising pot collection or the perfect piece to start your new collection.

These stouts were curated during my travels to English Antique Markets while visiting my daughter and her family in London.

Please consider the images as the best part of my description.

Most pots have some level of crazing , may have spots of discoloration, light hairline cracks and minor chips and fleabites that only add to its character and do not detract from its display value.  These are expected due to age, use and let’s not forget they were often buried for decades before being dug up and rescued.

I offer substantial savings in shipping costs when multiple items are combined into one package.  I work hard to find the most economical shipping options.
