This is a listing for one (1) James Keiller 3# Chubby Marmalade Pot. You will receive this exact pot with beautiful even crazing in just the perfect color! Rare Find! Great condition, with one very small chip along top rim and some hairline cracks that extend to the inside. There is some good repair work center front below label as well as on upper lip inside and back bottom rim. Incised into the bottom of the pot is: Maling K 921 Newcastle. Displays well.
Each pot was handmade between 1860 and 1960 to store award winning Marmalade. These wonderful advertising pots vary slightly in shape and size which lends to the character and desirability.
Most pots will most likely contain crazing, varying spots of discoloration, minor hairline cracks and minor chips and fleabites that only add to its character, and do not detract from its display value. These are expected blemishes due to age, use and being buried for decades before being dug up and rescued.
